The hostel offers a great value by considering what it has. The common area on the ground floor was cozy and equipped well. Bed was comfy and has enough outlets to charge gadgets. Showers and toilets all worked well and clean. Offering free coffee, shower gel and shampoo is a great bonus. Also, the receptionist girl Mai(sorry, don’t remember her name exactly wish that’s correct) is friendly and always willing to help you if you face any issue. Overall, it would be a solid choice if you’re looking for a budget accommodation in Hualien.

Sleeping Boot Hostel in Hualien was a cozy and comfortable stay! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with friendly staff who gave great recommendations for exploring the area. The rooms and bathrooms were spotless, and the beds were comfortable with privacy curtains and individual lights. just a short walk from the train station and close to local shops and restaurants. It’s an excellent spot for budget travelers looking for a laid-back place to stay in Hualien.

I had a wonderful experience while staying with Sleeping boot hostel. First of all when I entered Penny & James welcomed me with a smile. Both of them were always helpful to suggest the things to do around & chatting. Bed was quite comfortable with good Aircon in this humid weather. Washroom was super clean equipped with shower gel & shampoo. They also have nice common area space to sit with the kitchen. Location is good just 9 minutes walking from the train station. I can recommend staying here to all backpackers.

I got lucky. I had the best bed and very few neighbors during my 4 night stay. Blanket is warm. Showers are hot with high volumetric flowrate. Ive visited over 50 hostels and this is one of the best. 11/10 !!!

Located in Hualien City, around 10 mins from Hualien Train Station, 15-20 mins to Dongdamen Night Market and the beach. Comfortable and tidy accommodation, clean shower room / bathroom. A cozy dining area on the ground floor, equiped with an oven, fridge, cups, tableware and provides free instant coffee for the visitors.

Loved this place, stayed for 4 nights. The owners are incredible and the vibe is just so cozy and chill. Kitchen is great and the rooms are spacious. Very good place to stay while exploring Taroko and surroundings! Recommend recommend !

Spacious room. Curtains for the lower beds. Cozy atmosphere. Few types of tea available for the guests for free of charge. IKEA sharks as parts of decoration (joking but it was cute). Comfy armchairs in the common area. In general it was the best hostel during our 2 weeks trip around the island. Very good value for money.

Very friendly staff and room is nice and clean. Our group traveled in 4 so got the whole 4-bunk bed room. It has a private bathroom, and outside were also additional toilet and shower room. Location only 15’ walk from train station and a few min from bus stops if u don’t wanna walk. Quite walkable to most places tho

Cozy little hostel with very nice and welcoming staff. The location in between the train station and city center makes it easy to get around. The price was absolutely fine, actually very cheap for the offered quality. Good common area downstairs.
